Biography:
My name is William, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) dedicated to helping individuals navigate and overcome complex mental health challenges. My approach to counseling is built on a foundation of non-judgmental support, practical insight, and empowering collaboration.
Prior to entering the field of social work, I served our country as an Infantry Rifleman in the U.S. Marine Corps. This experience instilled in me a deep understanding of commitment, resilience, and the structured effort required to achieve difficult goals.
After my honorable discharge, I pursued my passion for helping others by earning a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology/Social Work and a Master of Social Work degree from Texas Tech University.
My clinical experience has primarily been in challenging inpatient psychiatric settings, where I specialized in working with clients facing complex diagnoses, including major depressive disorder, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and various personality disorders. Furthermore, I have extensive experience in assisting clients on their journey to recover from substance abuse, trauma, and anxiety.
I believe that effective therapy requires a tailored approach. I integrate elements of various modalities—including psychodynamic, person-centered, cognitive behavior (CBT), and solution-focused therapy—to create a unique path forward for each client. My goal is always to empower you to confront your unique challenges, discover your inherent strength, and build the life you envision.
